Palmer Land Trust has announced that Mayor Suthers will speak at the 2015 Southern Colorado Conservation Awards on September 23. Suthers will address the importance of land conservation to the local community and economy.
“Conserving open lands, scenic views, and recreational opportunities directly contribute to our quality of life in Colorado Springs and southern Colorado. We are excited to have Mayor Suthers join us in recognizing accomplishments in land conservation at Palmer Land Trust’s annual Southern Colorado Conservation Awards,” said Rebecca Jewett, Executive Director of Palmer Land Trust.
The event takes place on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at Cheyenne Mountain Resort. Cocktails are at 5 p.m., followed by a farm-to-table dinner and the program at 6 p.m. Tickets are $75, or $40 for young professionals 35 and younger.
