Contest: Win a Copy of 'Downriver'

Enter to win by July 17!

In difficult times such as these, nature offers peace and respite from the confusion and stress that we all feel. In a recent survey we conducted, over 80% of respondents shared that they are regularly visiting and utilizing public open spaces. It is clear that the land and nature are providing a physical and mental safety net to our community during this time. Nature endures and so will we.

Despite recent challenges, there are also many stories of hope. How has nature inspired you today? Is it the quiet of a mountain stream? The comfort of your vegetable garden? The ability to pick up a basket of produce from your local farm stand? Paddling through miles of clear mountain rivers? To celebrate land and nature, we’d love to hear from you. Please share your story with us right here on our website.  And if you enter your story by July 17, you will automatically be entered to win a copy of Heather Hansman’s book, ‘Downriver: Into the Future of Water in the West’.

Update: Our winner has been selected and notified. Thank you to those who contributed!

Heather Hansman’s inspiring story of her trip down the Green River (which is tributary to the Colorado River) is one that we are pleased to have an opportunity to share. From Wyoming to Utah, follow her journey - from harrowing to peaceful - of exploration and understanding.
